Criminal record certificate translation

A criminal record certificate, or police clearance, is required for residence and work permits, many visas and some jobs. Institutions often accept only recently issued certificates, so it is usually translated at short notice.

When you need it

  • Residence and work permits
  • Visa and immigration applications
  • Jobs in education, finance or security
  • Adoption and guardianship

What to send us

  • A scan of the certificate with its apostille or legalization
  • The issue date, to check that it is recent enough for the institution

How a notarized translation works

  1. 1

    Send your document

Upload a scan or photo through the form, or send it on WhatsApp or Telegram. We reply with a price and a deadline.

  2. 2

    Sworn translation

A sworn translator translates the document, keeping names, dates and stamps exactly as in the original.

  3. 3

    Notary certification

The translator signs the translation and a notary certifies the signature. You collect it at our office or we arrange delivery.

Questions about this document

How long is the certificate valid?

There is no single rule: many institutions accept a certificate only if it was issued within the last few months. Check the requirement before you order the translation.

Can you translate it urgently?

Yes. Next-day translation costs +20% and same-day +40% on the translation fee only; the notary fee does not change.
